Songa Genetic Centre of Excellence

ESIA for the Development of Songa Genetic Centre of Excellence under the Rwanda Dairy Development Project – Phase II (RDDP-2), financed by the Government of Rwanda and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Situated on a 393-hectare site in Kinazi Sector, Huye District the Songa Genetic Centre of Excellence is a flagship national investment in livestock genetics, research, and dairy innovation. It aims to strengthen Rwanda’s breeding capacity, enhance productivity, and promote climate-smart agricultural practices.

The Station operates under the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB). It serves as one of Rwanda’s leading hubs for livestock research, artificial insemination, and genetic improvement, supporting both national breeding programs and farmer-level capacity development.

MWSP-1 Priority Sanitation Investment in Blantyre City

PROGRO Fertilizer Production Plant

𝑷𝑹𝑶𝑮𝑹𝑶 Intends to install a Lime Granulation & Fertilizer Blending Plant in Lilongwe, Kanengo industrial Area. The project will localize input production, reduce dependency on imports, enhance agricultural productivity, and strengthen national food security.

Improving Secondary Education in Malawi – Phase II (ISEM-II) Project, financed by the European Union. The project is one of Malawi’s flagship investments in transforming the quality, accessibility, and governance of public secondary education through i) improve access ; ii) improve the quality and relevance and iii) improve the management and governance of secondary schools.

Vulcan and CEAR Project

Vulcan Logistics Limited and Central East African Railways (CEAR) embark on a groundbreaking developments: the electrification of the 912-kilometer railway from the Moatize Coal Mine to Nacala Port, and the installation of a cross-border power transmission line to boost Malawi’s energy supply.

Ujiji Irrigation Scheme

The Ujiji Rice Production and Marketing Club, a cooperative of 568 smallholder farmers, with funding support from the Agricultural Commercialisation Project (AGCOM) intends to convert 200.3 hectares of land from rainfed to irrigated agriculture using a solar-powered system.

Monkey-Bay 20 MW Solar Powered Plant by Droege Energy

Droege Energy plans to establish a 20-megawatt solar powered plant in Monkey Bay. The proposed project involves the construction and operation of a 20 MWp Monkey Bay Solar Plant (“the Project”) and 2 MWh of Lithium-Ion Battery Storage. The solar technology selected for solar panels are built on photovoltaic monocrystalline
cells.

Chintheche 50 MW Solar Power Plant by Droege Energy

Droege Energy plants to establish a 25-megawatt solar powered plant in Chintheche Nkhata Bay. The proposed project involves the construction and operation of a 20 MWp Monkey Bay Solar Plant (“the Project”) and 2 MWh of Lithium-Ion Battery Storage
